Can you use Dell monitor for Apple laptop?
I have a screen broken apple laptop, but still working perfectly fine. I wonder if I can hook it up to my Dell's monitor to use it as a desktop or I'll have to buy Apple monitor exclusively? Thank you!

should work if they are both DVI, or if they are both VGA, or even if they are both HDMI. basically, if the cord fits it should work.

Yes, You will however need either one of these converters "apple mini dvi > vga/dvi" or "apple mini display port to vga/dvi". It depends on what your macbook has. Check the back of your monitor to see if you need a dvi or vga cable. VGA is blue usually and DVI is usually white and longer than vga. If you have both then use the DVI connection. Go to your nearest apple store with your macbook so they can see what ports you have and tell them what connection you need it to go to on the dell monitor and they will get you: 1x Apple mini display port/micro dvi to vga/dvi 1x DVI or VGA cable
