The above retail locations you should be able to pick one up. Look up the part # and do a search on Ebay, you should also be able to pick one up there for a lot less. My replacement battery for my mac will come from there, since I can save tons from buying new.

Take a look at the Apple Referb store. They are fully covered by the warranty, and you can even get AppleCare (the warranty extension plan) for referbed computers. You can save over $400 in some cases, and they are JUST as good as brand new computers (remember: they are totally reworked by Apple Techs before being resold). Here's the link to the Referb Store: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=44BD9AA1&nclm=CertifiedMac Enjoy your new Mac! :)

No sorry there are no other discounts, besides student and teacher ones. If you really want an apple save up the money, otherwise go with a cost friendly windows computer brand.

It's a mac, so you should be getting it for free. Then you can throw it at him and go buy a real computer.
2 :
okay first tell me what 60 gb is. Probably the hard drive space. 60gb is not a log 150 is better. Also, don't get an apple, they suck. Get a dell. You can install an apple operating system on a dell if you want, but windows xp is better.

im not really sure if i understand your ? but i have a 40 gb apple macbook and i ADORE it!!! they are far superior to and pc and they are so easy to use! I LOVE ALL APPLES!!

Sounds hot to me. Apple Laptops are much more expensive then $150. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1855334,00.html?sr=hotnews

obviously the Apple "Genius" doesn't no shit lol get a 150GB drive not an 60GB your system will run better and you'll have a bigger drive to store your stuff in get an external hard disk to store the rest of your data in to just keep install apps into your Mac is all you need you can add some unnecessary data in it but keep it all in an external hard disk like i said otherwise if u get a 60GB you'll have nothing to store and your system will be a bit slower the more space the better your system preforms

first of all, the first person has no idea what he is talking about. if he had a chance to use and get to know a mac he would never give it up. 60GB should be fine if you dont plan on storing tons of huge files on it. my first laptop had a 75GB hard drive and i didnt come close to using all of it, and i had a ton of music and pics on it. second, look for any signs of the laptop being abused, like droped, and look for scratches. ask him how much ram the laptop has, it should have at least 512 KB. ask how fast the laptop is, or what the processer speed is, normal for a used laptop should be probably about 1 GHZ. als, ask him about bundled software, or what software is included. if he cant answer some of these questions, i would not recommend getting the laptop.
