How do I start over again with an Apple laptop?
My dad gave me his Mac and I want to restart the laptop as if it's all new. But I want to keep his 7GB worth of songs. How do I make it all new and keep the songs at the same time? Is it possible to move the songs to a flash memory? Thanks in advance. :) ~Mehh (:

If you put all of the songs into iTunes, then put all of those on a back-up disc, which is what iTunes asks you to do every-so-often, then you will have his entire libraray on one disc. Once you have done whatever you feel necessary to the Apple notebook you can insert the disc when the machine is on and put all the files back on. Hope this helps. And it does work cause I have recently done the same with my iTunes library. Enjoy. xxxxx

back up the songs on a disk or external hard drive, then i would recommend getting the latest version of leopard for mac, its around $120 bucks, this way you can get all the newest updates and best system thats out right now. If you have a mac store or mac authority store around, you can call them and ask them for help, they are usually really helpful

You can put them on flash drives, DVDs, or an external hard drive. IF the MAC has leopard you can take it back to fresh out of the box. It is called Time Machine.

How much is my apple laptop worth?
Im wanting to get a new laptop but I need to sell my older one first. Its a 13" white macbook 2007 model. I bought it new and I need to know how much it is worth. 1 gb of memory, 80 gb hard-drive. Runs perfectly. I just need t upgrade and Im looking at a 15" model. Thanks!

I am getting a new laptop because my desktop is screwed up.. My dad wants to make sure I can use this computer before he buys it... I go to flvs btw... I am like 99% percent sure but of course I have to check because my dad doesnt want to spend that much money for a computer I cant use.. Oh ya mac or pc?

If your desktop was PC go with PC. There are more software for PC than Mac and also there is a learning curve for you which is not a problem. but my experience is, with PC you have better options than Mac.

The Internet doesn't care what OS you use. IF you already have a lot of PC software, stick with PC like the other person said but, if you are looking to switch over get what you want.

To ellaborate on the last answer... You need utorrent first, to download the torrents Then, second, you use piratebay.org to find the files you want to download. I typically search for collections of works by an artist or band. type in the search box something on the lines of "nirvana discography" for example, and tick the little square by "audio" That should get you started.

I use cheapmusicdownload to download music from on my laptop. Go to this link here...

Check out the music download sites listed here on www.mp3obsesion.com/reviews All the sites listed are legal & virus free. Songs are 5¢ each on the cheapest site and 15¢ on the most expensive.
