can an apple laptop connect to my home wireless that has three Microsoft PCs connected to it?
i am thinking about buying a new macbook but i will only do this if it can connect to my home wireless that i have already set up. my home network is on a netgear wireless router and i don't konw weather an apple laptop can connect to this. i also want to be able to access my networked files on my microsoft pc.

certainly...as long as TCP/IP is installed on the Apple there should be no connectivity problems

yes they can be connected on a network as long as you have tcp/ip installed on it which if it is a newer laptop then thats no problem. if its not then you have to look for some thing like apple talk and install it on your laptop so i can talk to windows. dont forget that windows will also need to have apple talk to work if your laptop dose not support tcp/ip.

I know this sounds crazy but I'm desperately searching for an apple laptop for a low price. help ? used is totally fine! i just need to know where to get it!

Good luck finding a laptop for that price period. You're best off going for a gateway notebook if that's what you have to spend.

Your better off saving up and getting what you want because the cheaper laptops you will have to end up replacing anyway. Its better to invest more so it will last. Learned this the hard way.

At this point, you can find off-brand netbooks at that price. My boyfriend was exstatic when he found an eee pc netbook for $190. :( Well, it kind of looks like a mac. It's white. lol - and it works great with linux, which is better than apple because it's free. :] Best wishes.

Yes, Get a dell mini 9 from the dell outlet and turn it into a hackintosh. the only way you will find an apple laptop for under 200 that is not "hot" is to buy a used one... is rather like trying to buy a brand-new corvette for $1,000.00

Steve Jobs will laugh if he ever reads this question. You can probably find an older model on eBay or something. If you're looking for something more current or a brand new one then you might as well just give up.

Apple laptop get overheated when i go on-line for a little while?
why does my apple laptop get overheated when i go on-line for a little while?
my apple laptop is so hot when i open it to go online...!!! is there a way to solve this problem ?

your fans are weak! what you need to do is take it to a shop and tell them the problems and they will tell you were u can buy a new fan ect. or u can look up the name of your pc and buy the fan yourself and install ect. diy style

Laptops in general have heat problems. There are fan plates you can buy that you set your laptop and it cools it, but any time you access a program that uses alot of memory or CPU power then you will generate heat. The only way to solve this problem is to get a better computer. Most apple laptops get really hot when anything semi demanding happens. They do not have very good fans or ventilation and plus the battery gets really hot when it is not idling on macs. The best choice is to get a new apple or to get a new computer that isn't an apple like HP or Dell.

There are two solutions depending on the severity of your problem: 1) Download an application to increase the speed of your fans to regulate the temperature. It will install to your System Preferences and then you can choose a target temperature and the fans with automatically stay within the boundaries you choose. You can download the application here for free: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/10/16/modify-adjust-and-control-fan-speed-and-temperature-of-apple-macbook-macbook-pro-and-mac-mini/ If this does not solve your problem then you should move to the second option. 2) If the fan is broken (not necessarily so!), then you need to get it replaced. Take it to your local Apple Store and they can do a diagnostic and give you a quote for getting it fixed. If you have a warranty it will be covered completely. Good luck!

do i have to use an airport with an apple laptop?
right now i have a windows program on my laptop, but im thinking about selling it to buy an old apple, do i have to buy an airport or can i use my existing wireless connection? its belkin.

you can use your existing wireless router. it doesn't matter. apple airports are very powerful and have a better connection. but macs can connect to any wireless connection. just use internet connect and find your connection.
