if you have a dell computer and get an apple laptop does that mean you can't transfer files and documents?
soooo I've got a dell computer with like windows XP and heard that if I get an apple laptop its pointless cause I can't get all my files and stuff. is that true or is there any way to do this?

there will be compatability issues yes but you can transfer files. you may just have trouble finding programs that can use them but most files... .gif, .jpg, .mp3, .mpeg, . txt, .htm, .wav, etc can be used on either computer

Can a technician install windows on an Apple laptop?
I want one of those solid white laptops from apple there class lukin but i dont want MAC i wanna get windows put in...is it possible?

Yes, but if you use Mac OSX you'll get used to it and you'll never look back to Windows. If you could get OSX on any computer, not just Macs, nobody would ever have used Windows.
2 :
It is possible and can basically be done one of two ways 1) using Bootcamp, you can install then always boot into Windows if you want, where you need a Windows install CD and license key and 2) using virtualization (e.g. Virtualbox) where you can run Windows inside MacOS, also requires a Windows CD and license key. If you've ever installed Windows on a PC you could handle installing Windows via Bootcamp.

Nobody knows for sure. I don't think we'll see it until MacWorld in January. Others are thinking more like October. It's all just speculation.

Latest rumors put new Mac Laptops out in early September. Supposedly there will be a new MacBook with aluminum case and a touch screen or glass touchpad. Also rumors have new MacBook pros coming out with similar features. The only one that would stay the same is the MacBook Air. There are also supposed to be some new iPods. The current models will be in stores for maybe another month.

i have an apple laptop and its nearly bout 5 years old, and a few weeks ago the screen went totally blank and there was a fan noice from da back of it

5 years for any laptop is generally pretty good, if not average life expectancy. I see people trying to nurse laptops along for 7+ years and it's just wrong... To a certain extent, it depends on what you do with it (photo editing vs. word editing, surfing vs. rendering, etc.) But personally I wouldn't pay to repair your iBook/Powerbook. It'll be at least $200-300 at a very minimum, unless you can do it yourself (I wouldn't). I usually peg a laptop for having about 3-4 years of good use, after that, it's usually a backup computer.
