How to download a purchased dvd onto an apple laptop?
I was going to do a youtube spoof of a clip of the movie Cars, which I had purchased. I have the dvd right here, but it won't let me download it or make a copy of it on my computer. It just goes straight to the dvd player on the laptop. I need a little help, and thanks for whoever is reading this and responds.

Well most apple laptops are playing around $100 -+200+ so if you can dish out that money then good but who said apple macs are affordable anyway?

I would say the Macbook Pro 13 inch. Here is why: The vanilla Macbook only comes with 2 GB RAM. If you upgrade it to 4 GB then you are paying nearly as much as the cost of the 13 inch Pro anyway.
3 :
Get a refurbished macbook from the apple store. Refurbished ones are cheaper and just as good.

I purchased this stunning apple laptop the mac book air from a pawn shop. I used it for a few days with out any problems. I open the laptop now and i cant even get through the password screen. how do i change the master password?

The best and easiest way would be to order a operating system CD set from Apple/Mac and do a re install putting it back to factory and setting up your own password(s). Bassman's answer is good. There is another possibility that isn't so good. If the mac book was stolen and sold to the pawn shop, a remote locking mechanism may have been triggered when you connected up to the internet. You might be able to bypass that with the system software reinstallation, but I'm not certain of that.

Buy a used Apple laptop in good condition?
What is the least expensive way, other than craigslist, to buy a used Apple laptop in good condition?
I'm primarily going to use the laptop for web research and email when I'm not at home. It doesn't need to be the top model available, just something that will handle those two tasks. I've been a Mac desktop user for seven years now and strongly prefer the Mac OS, so suggestions to consider a Windows laptop are not what I'm seeking. All other answers and suggestions will be appreciated.

How can you be sure a computer is in good condition, if you buy it used from a stranger? Of course, there's nothing wrong with buying a used computer, but there are risks... Anyway, try eBay, if you don't like Craigslist. Also do a search in Google for "used Mac laptops" or something like this and you'll get a bunch of places selling them. There's one more place to check. It's your local laptop repair shop. Many repair shops sell laptops they've repaired and some even give you some warranty.
