i want to know is there a way to put windows media player on a mac laptop and is there a program to rip dvd's on to a mac if it helps i have a mac book pro os x

download flip4mac at flip4mac.com (or just google it) and you will be able to view .wmv format on your mac while using quicktime. Also forgot to mention to rip DVD's search for a program called mac the ripper. It's very easy to use

Well you cant put Windows Media Player, Windows version in your Mac. But yes there are workarounds. Simply visit the Microsoft website and download Windows Media Player for Mac and you will get it. You just need to search it there. So the WMP for Mac will definately work on your Mac system. And as for ripping DVDs, I am sure Mac comes with an in-built software, but you may still want to check it from their official website here : www.apple.com
