Do you have to have a router when you use an apple laptop?
I want to buy my first laptop and I don't really know that much about it. I wanted to buy a Apple MacBook. Do you have to have a router in order to use your laptop? And does it make a difference if you use an Apple router?

HI, No you don't need a router to use a laptop or PC. A router is a network device which will allow the laptop/PC to communicate either with other networked devices (PCs, Printers etc.) or with the internet.

No, you don't HAVE to have a router. You can connect to the internet with an ethernet cord. If you want to go online wirelessly and without a cord then yes, you'll need a router. And no, it doesn't make a difference if you have an apple router or not. Really, it's not worth it to buy one, they do the same thing as any other router except they have an apple logo on them and cost twice as much.
