Apple laptop?
I am going to be buying an apple macbook soon. The only thing i have used a mac for is going on the internet. I know how to open the program and how to quit it. What are the other basic things that i need to learn to be able to use my mac?

if you really want to use windows on your laptop, you can always run it via a program called boot camp. it's available on the apple site. basically, if you have it, when you turn on your macbook, you have the option of choosing between apple's OS X and Windows XP/Vista. it might be hard getting used to though, considering that apple keyboards are slightly different from pc keyboards.

Use the help menus whenever possible. You can access the help menus by accessing the app's window and pressing Command (Apple key)+H. If that doesn't help you, use the Apple Support pages or use a reference material. Anything from a trusted computer guru (such as Leo Laporte) will do wonders if you're completely lost when using a Mac. I hope that helps. Good luck!

Don't try to do things the Windows way. The Mac is more logical. On a Mac, you go to the little blue apple on the top and drag down to "shut down" to turn the computer off. In Windows you go to "Start", does that make sense? And you won't need anti-virus software, there are no MacOS X viruses.
