Apple Laptop?
So I was thinking about getting a laptop for highschool. What are some major differences between the Macbook and the Macbook Pro? Also, do they both come with ilife 08 and leopard (in like 2 days)? Is it worth the extra $1000 to get the Pro?

In a word, no check out apple.com and look at the hardware spec too see the differences.

Macbooks are perfect for high school. I continue to use mine throughout college. It's more portable. Obviously if you can afford the MBP though, get it. It's faster, bigger screen, more RAM comes standard, bigger hard drive, better speakers. As for leopard, you would probably have to preorder/select it as a feature when you order the laptop. Hope this helped!

For high school, get the MacBook. Only if you were a senior, and going on to an art college would the MacBook Pro be worth it. The MacBook is fine, it'll come with Leopard and iLife 08. Just add iWorks 08 and you are set. The MacBook Pro is larger, has a better screen, faster processor and metal case.

Well definitely Mac Pro is a more advanced laptop with additional features but seriously at school level so u need a Mac Pro??? i guess any basic laptop would suffice your needs so just get the Macbook for now and once you finish schooling you can get urself the best Mac and then you will be getting a much better version than now...anyway just check out http://www.ebazaar.biz/laptop.htm may be you can find something good on it.
